Global Copper Mine Production Up 2.2%/Refined Copper Output Rises 1.4%

Global copper mine production increased 2.2 percent during the last year, ICSG announced.

According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, The latest report of International Copper Study Group (ICSG) indicates that world copper mine production stood at 21,096,000 tons registering 2.2% rise in 2021.

During the period under review, copper mines of Americas produced 11,214,900 tonnes of copper, Asia about 4,471,100 tonnes, Africa mines produced 2,632,300 tonnes, Europe1,882,600 tonnes and Oceania produced 895,600 tonnes of copper respectively.
Global Copper Mines Capacity Rises%4.4

Global Copper mines capacity stood at 25.916 Mt during 2021, registering a %4.4 growth compared with the corresponding period of the year before.
World Refined Copper Output Rise %1.4

Global copper producers in 2021, produced 24,855,000 tonnes of refined copper which indicates a 1.4 percent growth compared with the corresponding period of the year before.
Likewise, refined copper production capacity of global smelters stood at 30.077,000 tonnes in 2021, rise 0.75 percent YOY.
