Some 2,500 megawatts (MW) capacity of new power plants are planned to join Iran’s electricity network by the next summer’s peak consumption period (Iranian calendar’s summer begins on May 22, 2022), an official with Iran’s Thermal Power Plant Holding (TPPH) said.
