H1 non-oil exports from Iran’s Khuzestan double to $2.5 billion

A total of 6.8 million tons of non-oil goods worth $2.5 billion were exported from Khuzestan Province during the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21-Sept. 22), according to a local official. Amirhossein Nazari added that this registers a 22% and 102% rise in weight and value respectively compared with the similar period of last year, ISNA reported.

Amirhossein Nazari added that this registers a 22% and 102% rise in weight and value respectively compared with the similar period of last year, ISNA reported.

The exports included petrochemicals, construction materials, agricultural products, metals and chemicals.

Nazari noted that earning close to $650 million (25% of total exports), Khuzestan’s main export destination during the period was the neighboring Iraq.
