The manager of the Shahre Babak Copper Complex announced:

6% growth in extraction at Midouk Copper Mine in July-August 2025 compared to the same period of last year

me-metals: Engineer Hossein Mahmoudi Meymand, Director of the Shahre Babak Copper Complex, referred to the recording of new records in monthly production performance and announced: This very complex has succeeded in recording significant performance by increasing the total amount of ore extraction, followed by optimization in the anodic copper production process and increasing copper concentrate consumption in the Khatoon Abad smelter.

According to me-metals cited by Mes Press, the manager of the Shahre Babak Copper Complex further added: "The total extraction rate of the Shahre Babak Copper Complex in July-August 2025 reached 8,136,638 tons, thanks to the efforts and dedication of the complex's colleagues; this figure is considered the highest monthly record since the complex began operating."

According to Mahmoudi Meymand, the previous record for the total extraction of this complex was 7,687,393 tons, which is a 6% increase with the new record.
 
He continued: The amount of copper concentrate consumed in the smelting plant was 48,192 tons in July-August 2025, which is a 4% increase compared to the previous record of 46,353 tons in September-October 2022.
 
The manager of the Shahre Babak Copper Complex, stating that the amount of copper concentrate charged to the flash smelting furnace increased last month, said: Optimization in the production process has led to an increase in feeding the flash smelting furnace, followed by an increase in the production of anodic copper.
