Thermal power plants’ 8-month output exceeds 255m MWh
Iran’s thermal power plants generated over 255 million megawatt-hours (MWh) of electricity in the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-November 21), an official with the Thermal Power Plants Holding (TPPH) announced.
According to Esmail Namazi, the director of TPPH’s Production and Technical Office, thermal power plants accounted for 93 percent of the country’s total power generation during the mentioned eight months, IRNA reported.
Of the mentioned figure, 137 million MWh was the share of combined cycle units, that registered a four-percent increase compared to the previous year’s same period.
