The total production of concentrate in the National Iranian Copper Industries Company's concentration plants has reached a record 772,496 tons by the end of this summer, which represents a growth of about 19 percent compared to the same period last year (Iranian Solar Year). The production of this product in the first 6 months of last year (Iranian Solar Year) was 651,148 tons.
During this period, the company's production of the strategic product molybdenum concentrate reached 6,189 tons, a 6% increase compared to the 5,828 tons in the same period in 2024.
The total amount of mineral-containing copper produced during the first 6 months of 2025 (the first 6 months Iranian Solar Year) was 167,439 tons, which compared to 149,724 tons in the same period last year (Iranian Solar Year), has recorded a significant growth of about 12 percent.
According to the report, despite energy imbalances and periodic overhauls, the National Copper Company has managed to produce 136,611 tons of cathodes and 428,173 tons of sulfuric acid during this period. In addition, the company has produced 16,447 tons of wire by the end of September this year (Iranian Solar Year), which represents a 3 percent increase compared to the same period last year (Iranian Solar Year).
Also, during the first 6 months of this year, the National Iranian Copper Industries Company has been able to achieve 7% more production than the projected plan for this year by producing 446 tons of precious metal concentrate.
