Khouzestan Steel Co. (KSC) to produce slab to customers in all around the world

Khouzestan Steel Co. (KSC) managers and delegation of Brazilian CSN Co. in Ahwaz-Iran

Fernando Paulucio Quinelato – one of the representatives of Brazilian CSN (COMPANHIA SIDERÚRGICA NACIONAL) - announced this statement to the production and sales officials of KSC during his couple of days technical negotiations and field research in Ahwaz.

Fernando is a R&D (Research and Development) expert of Brazilian CSN and he is the technical person of three-member expedition. He who has travelled to Ahwaz along with his colleagues spent all his working time from morning to afternoon at steelmaking site on 13 July 2016 in order to observe and study the processes of melting and casting of slabs in Khouzestan Steel Co. (KSC).

According to this report, Brazilian CSN delegation including Fernando Paulucio Quinelato –technical representative,ISMAEL VIEIRA VASCONCELLOS – trading negotiator, Marcus A. Hoffman – investor - during their three-day trip to Khouzestan Province in South of Iran, they visited production line of slab in steelmaking unit, quality control systems, transportation and slab storages of KSC in Ahwaz and Imam Khomeini Port.

“In conclusion, my feeling is that KSC can export its slabs to the entire world because its products have got the required quality for export.” Brazilian Fernando wrote in an exclusive note in response to our correspondent’s question on his assessment about KSC products .

He has begun his special note to the audience as follow, “This is Fernando from Brazilian CSN Co. , my friends and I are now visiting Khouzestan Steel Co. (KSC) in order to consider and test the capability of KSC from different point of views such as supplying and also transferring of the purchased slabs.

The very Brazilian R&D expert in steel industry who has come Iran for the first time continued, since we came to Iran , we have welcomed well by the people and KSC staff as the host and they prepared us everything for carrying out our mission.

“I must say KSC is a huge steel plant that has got all required standards in all production processes and also in transporting of the products. Indeed, we surely confirm this issue. Thus, I frankly declare that KSC can supply slab products to their customers in all around the world because they have got required quality to export.” he stated.

CSN Co. has recently purchased a heavy cargo steel slabs from KSC and has sent the above-mentioned delegation to KSC mill for further research, ensuring about the on-time receiving and high quality of products.

According to the experts , by Fernando’s statements and after observing the production processes closely, sending the products by technical expert of the mentioned delegation and also the positive trend of negotiations between CSN and KSC , there is a possibility of increasing the volume of cooperation between Brazilian and Iranian companies.

This is the first time in the history of the country that a huge Iranian steelmaking company can find a determined client at American markets in Latin America to export its slab products by relying on its quality and competitive price.

Mohammad Hossein Imam – Export Manager of KSC – by confirming the export of slab and mentioning the transaction between KSC and Brazilian client said, CSN has purchased slabs weighing approximately 100,000 tons and according to the customer’s order the transferring is in progress.

“The most important reasons for exporting success are high quality of products and having the international standards in all processes of production.” KSC ‘s export manager declared.

This report suggests that CSN is Brazil’s second largest steelmaking company with a capacity of 5.8 MT located in Rio de Janeiro and one of the largest in Latin America. According to the available information on the official website of CSN, the company has got several rolling mill lines, meanwhile is active in cement industry. CSN is one of the few producers of thin steel sheets in the world as well.
