In 1398 (2019-2020), the production capacity of steel billet will boost about 1.7 million tons

Me-Metals: By the end of the current solar year (1398: 2019-2020), the Steel Making Plant of Zarand, Kerman will inaugurate and the production capacity of steel billet will boost about 1.7 million tons.

Reported by ME-METALS, by the end of the current solar year (1398: 2019-2020), the Steel Making Plant of Zarand (Zarand Iranian Steel Co. (ZISCO) the subsidary of MIDHCO), Kerman will inaugurate and the production capacity of steel billet will boost about 1.7 million tons.

In the coming Esfand (March 2020), we will have the inauguration of the steel project in Kerman, which will annually produce 1.7 million tons of steel billet from the iron ore pellets.

Utilizing the products of this project will both supply the market need in the country and also help the export surplus to the target export countries.

This plant, which makes steel billets and blooms, has been built on a land with an area of 376 hectares and directly employs 4,500 people. And also, 45 thousand people will indirectly take advantage from different occupations.

On this great project, which has been 90% physically constructed, 760 million dollars have been invested.

In Esfand 1398 (March 2020), this plant in Zarand, Kerman, will be fully exploited and launched.
