Daimler renews its confidence in Fives at its Hambach site
As part of the major project to develop its Hambach plant, which includes the conversion of the existing line for the production of the new Mercedes-Benz vehicle and a new workshop dedicated to the production of the smart fortwo, the Daimler Group continues its collaboration with Fives.
For the new Mercedes line, Filling | Sealing teams will provide a specific gearbox filling machine, scheduled for installation in early 2020.
They will also be responsible for transferring and adapting existing equipment to the new smart line.
The partnership between the Daimler Group and Fives is long-term as this new order follows on the heels of the contract awarded both for the supply of three latest generation Rapidcharge® M Elite filling machines for the production of the smart fortwo, and for adapting existing machines.
