India: Vizag Steel Cancels 25,000 MT Pig Iron Export Tender; Issues New One

Vizag Steel, a leading state-owned Pig iron producer, and exporter, has issued a new export tender of 25,000 MT basic grade steel making Pig iron for any country other than Nepal.

The offered material has specifications - C: 3.5 - 4.8%; Mn: 0.50% (max); Si: 1.5% (max); P: 0.12% (max); S: 0.050% (max).

This tender is due on 17 Sept’19. As per the delivery schedule, the last date of Shipment shall be 31 Oct’19.

Bidder is requested to submit his offer online with best price in USD per MT on FOB st Visakhapatnam on direct export basis.

Validity: The bidder / successful bidder shall keep their offer firm and valid for acceptance by RINL until 24/09/2019.

The bidders are requested to kindly consider port of loading as ‘Gangavaramport (GPL)’ only.

According to market sources report to SteelMint, the company has canceled its previous export tender for the same quantity which was due on 06 Sept’19. The company did not fetch bids owing to which the tender was canceled, stated sources.
In mid Aug’19, SteelMint reported that an Indian mill concluded a 30,000 MT pig iron export deal. The deal is learned to have been concluded recently to SE Asia at around USD 330-335/MT, FoB India
