Russia : EVRAZ Crude Steel Output Down 2% in Q3 CY19

Russian steel making company EVRAZ has recently announced its trading update for the Q3 of 2019. In the third quarter, EVRAZ’ consolidated crude steel output fell by 3.4% Q-o-Q, mainly due to the lower production volumes at EVRAZ ZMSK amid scheduled capital repairs.

Its total crude steel production from Russia was recorded at 2.95 MnT in Q3 CY19 against 3.00 MnT in Q2 CY19. In nine months of CY19 crude steel production stood around 8.94 MnT.

As per the report, the sale of total steel products remained flat in Q3 at 3.38 MnT in Q3 against 3.37 MnT in previous quarter. Sales of semi-finished products increased by 5.6% Q-o-Q to 1.44 MnT due to good market conditions.

However there was 3.1 % Q-o-Q fall in the finished steel products exports to 1.94 MnT in Q3 CY19 because of the lower sales of flat-rolled products and railway products.
