According to me-metals, Allahvardi Taghavi, Strategy and Organizational Excellence Advisor at Mobarakeh Steel Group, said in a presentation on explaining Mobarakeh Steel Group's strategies at the first strategic meeting of CEOs and board members of Mobarakeh Steel Group companies: Mobarakeh Steel Group's strategies have been developed based on the latest global steel situation until 2024 and a review of the country's outlook; in this presentation, an analysis of the global steel situation was first presented, according to which the global steel production trend was upward from 1950 to 2021, and the growth rate has decreased since 2015.
Taghavi added: Per capita steel consumption has decreased in some advanced countries (China, South Korea, Europe, America), but has increased in some developing countries (India, Turkey, some East Asian countries).
He stated: Per capita steel consumption in Iran is about 224 kilograms, which is an increase of about 5 kilograms compared to the previous year, but the growth is not desirable and may increase to 300 kilograms with the improvement of economic conditions.
We expect a positive outlook for steel next year as the global economy improves, but declining demand, declining profitability of steel companies, changes in the Chinese market, and supply chain disruptions could impact the steel industry.
