Industrias López Soriano selects Danieli Centro Recycling for new high-efficiency scrap-processing line in Zaragoza

Advanced preshredding technology enables higher productivity, safety, and process stability

me-metals: Danieli Centro Recycling has been selected by Industrias López Soriano, a key recycling operator in Zaragoza, Spain, and part of the Gescrap Group—a multinational active in 19 countries worldwide—for the supply of a new high-performance preshredder to upgrade the existing shredder plant.

According to me-metals cited by danieli.com, The new unit will ensure safe de-bulking of incoming material, reducing explosion risks, stabilizing the feeding process, and securing consistent throughput to the main shredder, with enhanced overall plant reliability.

Designed to handle a wide and variable scrap mix, the preshredder will process up to 110 tph of mixed scrap and ELVs, 100 tph of standard bales (<0.8 t/m³), and 90 tph of heavy bales (<1 t/m³), guaranteeing high operational flexibility.

The machine features a modular hydraulic power pack and high-manganese rotors—a Danieli signature solution—extending wear life, reducing maintenance frequency, and ensuring long-term efficiency and uptime.

This project reflects the Gescrap Group’s commitment to innovation, sustainable scrap processing, and operational excellence, while strengthening Danieli Centro Recycling’s position in the Iberian market.
