Fives is associated with the company MACAUTO for the supply of industrial "Hives" for storage and recharging of electric cars.
The innovative system MACAUTO consists in the realization of urban transport infrastructure, known as "Hives", established in urban agglomerations of more than 100,000 inhabitants. These hives are positioned closer to transport needs, near airports, railway stations, city centers, ports, administrative and shopping centers, business districts, hospitals and universities and optimize the organization of electric vehicles fleets’ mobility. 22 meters high, each hive can charge up to 75 electric vehicles.
Within this industrial partnership, Fives will provide the design and supply and mounting of a mechanical assembly for distributing and recharging electric cars such as conveyor systems like roller tables, lifting sections, transfer trays, etc.
During the COP21 exhibition that took place in Paris from 4th to 10th of December 2015, Fives and MACAUTO showcased, at the VIVAPOLIS booth at the Grand Palais, the first physical model of a hive and a digital model of the entire system.
The hives system, which will be developed in France and abroad, is a new innovative business model that will lead to the much-awaited industrial boom for the urban electric vehicle of the future.
