Iran and South Africa to broaden joint cooperation in mine and mining industries sector.

Exploration, research and mineral processing could broaden joint cooperation, Jamshid Molarahman, Deputy of Mining and Industrial Mining Expansion Projects of IMIDRO in a meeting with Deputy Minister of Mining Resources of South Africa expressed.
Cooperation in mine sector could be as participation or investment which depends on interest of South Africa .Iran is ready to export cement to South Africa, he said.
During this meeting, Ali Asgharzadeh, Manager of Exploration and Investment Department of IMIDRO described position of Iran’s mines and variety of mineral reservoirs.
Deputy Minister of Mining Resources of South Africa announced that South Africa is interested in cooperation with Iran.
Our first priority is mining. We are able to prepare geological maps and research on mineral processing .we signed Memorandum of Understanding with Iran Mineral Processing Research Center, Godfrey Oliphant said.
South Africa is experienced in mining and has good knowledge in this area. We are operating 1700 mines now, including depth underground mines. We have advanced technology to have activity in these mines, he added.
Godfrey Oliphant announced that president of South Africa is going to travel to Iran in 2016, so at that time issues such as mines, ground water resources and renewable energies will broaden joint cooperation of these two countries.
