We Support Foreign Investors

“We will support foreign investors based on the FIPPA regulation, so there is no worry for foreign investors’ participation in Iran’s mining sector", Chairman of the board of IMIDRO announced.

Based on the constitution, IMIDRO as a governmental organization should consider participation of private sector in order to provide cooperation of Iranian companies with foreign partners, Mehdi Karbasian expressed in Iran, Finland Mining Cooperation Opportunities Gathering.

He added that Iran has a unique position in the region due to access to Middle East market with 450 million population and ability to export through Persian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Karbasian noted the readiness to cooperate with Finnish companies and said that Iran has done different projects in copper and iron ore sector with cooperation with Finnish Outotec company (even in sanctions period), we thanks them and will continue our cooperation.

He noted the Sirjan pelletizing plant as one of the joint projects of IMIDRO and Finland.

“Now we have many projects in iron ore, copper etc., that Finnish investors can participate .In 2016 IMPRC and Geological Survey of Finland signed an MoU on research sector which provided cooperation opportunity”, he continued

Some participating companies in this conference are Metso, GTK, Finland Mining, Outotec, Poyry, Millisecond, Sleipner, SISU and HAARLA.
