Unveiling of Iran's first self-driving dump truck at the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO)
me-metals: Dr. Seyed Mostafa Faiz, CEO of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company, announced the production of the country's first self-driving dump truck at a meeting of the company's knowledge-based and domestic manufacturing headquarters.
According to me-metals cited by Mes Press, Dr. Faiz said: "This dump truck, which was built by a domestic knowledge-based company by the investment of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company, will soon be unveiled and put into operation at the Sarcheshmeh Copper Mine."
In this meeting, he also stated that only with a research-oriented approach and attention to new technologies can the path to industrialization be paved, added: "This achievement, which has passed all technical tests, is an important step in the development of the country's mining technologies."
The CEO of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) continued by emphasizing the removal of possible obstacles and control of bottlenecks in the construction of the electric dump truck in this company, stated: This project is currently about 60 percent in progress, and it is necessary to resolve the problems facing its completion so that the manufacturing company can proceed with its construction with full freedom.
