Coal Concentrate Output Tops 510K

Iran’s two major coal companies produced 510,054 tons of coal concentrate during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21), indicating a 25% growth year-on-year, the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization reported on its website.

Tabas Parvadeh Coal Company accounted for 430,325 tons of the total output and Central Alborz Coal Company for the remaining 79,729 tons. The two companies’ performance in the ninth month of the year (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) stood at 80,231 tons. Iranian coal mines, with about 1.15 billion tons of reserves, have the capacity to produce up to 3 million tons of coal concentrate per year.
