IMIDRO to Promote Environmental Standards
IMIDRO is ready to cooperate with Iran’s Environment Protection Organization on environmental standards promotion, Chairman of the board of IMIDRO said.
Dr. Mehdi Karbasian during a meeting with Dr. Saeed Motesadi, deputy of human environment of Iran’s Environment Protection Organization, discussed mines and mining industries environmental problems and said that due to the 2025 vision and necessity of fulfillment to 8 percent economic development, investment and implementation of development project in mines and mining industries are irrefutable.
He added that IMIDRO is ready to cooperate in standard promotion and codification of environmental regulations. Foreign investors are keen on to invest in significant and strategic zones in Iran such as Parsian, Mokran, Chabahar, Sangan, etc. So we should take advantage of skillful domestic and foreign consultants to prepare methods of solving environmental problems.
Saeed Motesadi said that they tried to prepare regulations in this sector (exploration, extraction and exploitation), the draft is ready and IMIDRO will help us to complete it.
